Garden Markers
A friend of mine made some of these for me a few years back for my birthday and I've enjoyed seeing them take their spot in the garden every year. Yesterday in honor of today.. Valentine's Day, the kids and I created some for gifts. We used acrylic paint and then finished them off with a clear lacquer spray.

Wow - what an incredible transformation you've made in your backyard! Great job! I am completely jealous.. I wish I had a big bed of beautiful lettuce like that. I guess there's always next year, though. I love these garden markers - so useful and a wonderful craft to do with kids (so often, those crafts do not turn out to be useful beyond refrigerator decorations). I can't wait to watch as things progress!

Thank you very much for the nice note! This whole blog thing has been quite fun. It's this time of year that I just get garden fever. The lettuce has been a surprise to me. It's our 2nd year planting and we are so happy to see it doing so well. It's a cut & grow variety from the garden store and I put the seed straight into the bed. I can't wait to read more of your posts - thanks!
